During COVID-19 shut downs, he did a Christmas special in a closed theatre in Cobourg, Ontario. Just him singing with his theatrical voice "haunting the stairways and halls." His son appeared a few times to accompany on drums. No audience. Empty. He's such a total artist I anticipated he could pull it off and he more than excelled. It was freely streamed but I definitely sent in money since there's no way I'd get another opportunity to show my appreciation.

Boy, did we grow up at the right time! Wolfman was the best, most fun, outrageous DJ. We cruised every chance we got in Petaluma CA during those days, with the radio blasting XERB and did all those things depicted in the movie "American Graffiti"......it was real, it was innocent and it was fun.

*McLaren's fantastic at spinning a web of absolute and utter fables of an importance he doesn't really have. The man's just a raconteur that people humour with a listen. I'm sure more people laugh at him than with him, but he made a great life at it, so bravo to him. His 'flow state' is just an 'amusing' stream-of-consciousness that puts James Joyce in kindergarten. He has an enormous sense of self-importance that he wants us all to ascribe to. Some actually do. As for his 'creating' the Sex Pistols, well, he didn't even manage them, let alone put them together. Right place and time. They hung out and worked in his store. End of story. Opportunist. He did get them a record contract. End of story. They did the rest due to their character. McLaren did have verve, elan and chutzpah. 'Buffalo Stance' and Duck Rock itself are a particularly good batch of songs. The man had great insight. An opportunist does not a trendsetter make and he was a marvelous opportunist who took advantage of the furor a notoriety of the Sex Pistols to create his own lifestyle. But he revolutionised nothing in particular but his own life*
